Roytan Gun Dogs

Gundog Day was Friday Decmber 8th and once again Roytan Slipstream for Kincsem is up there with the top of the bunch. She won Open Bitch and then went on to be awarded the Reserve Challenge Certificate. Very well done Sara Jane and “Niska”

Shoot training Day at Deer Park Farm Ashburnham.
This was held on Friday November 10th and there is a short note with some pictures on the “Gundog Group Page”. Hopefully some more will appear in the Shooting Gazette and I will try to let you know if this happens.

By now most of you will have seen that our planned autumn puppies have arrived. Esme whelped on October 25th and Farah on October 30th.

Tragic news that Philippa died today at the Brompton Hospital. We all knew her through our gundog group and she was such a warm, friendly and positive person. I miss her already and feel both angry that such a thing can happen, and sad that I shall never have the privelege of teaching her with her beloved Dan, and laughing with her again.

“Most improved” puppy at the Hungarian Vizsla Club Training Day last month was Roytan Place Your Bet aka “Gus” owned and trained by Kerry Brown. Kerry is double chuffed as at the Hungarian Vizsla Club Championship Show today, Gus qualified for Crufts by gaining 3rd in Minor Puppy Dog. Very well done both of you!

Just to let you know (in writing) that at Dogs in Need Agility Show on 14th - 19th August 06 Ross got his 1st clear round in agility! It was starters jumping though he did not get placed as we are not fast enough yet. As it was only his 3rd show we are really pleased.

This weekend Romi did well at Trent Park Agility Show though still no clear round she is getting closer. Ross could not repeat his previous form but did go well, only getting time faulted.

She is your friend, your partner, your defender,your dog. You are her life, her love, her leader. She will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of her heart. You owe it to her to be worthy of such devotion.

CONGATULATIONS go to all our KCGC achievers featured on our “Gundog Group” page. The “Roytan” team held their heads high with Roytan Captain Hook(Barley), Roytan Mrs Darling (Wilma), Roytan Star of Bethlehem (Fenner) and Roytan Athens Glory (Flossie) all gaining their Bronze, Fenner being only 8 1/2 months old ably handled by Chloe Surrage

Beshlie aka Roytan Liberty qualified for Crufts in style today by winning her Junior class at the above show at Three Counties Malvern. Her Mum “Seven”, Roytan Aurora Borealis gained a very creditable 4th in Limit Bitch.
