Roytan Gundogs

Happy New Year everybody! We all hope to be back to normal by Saturday January 8th for our first meeting of 2011! However, as I am still not quite recovered from the flu, I will not be taking my Wednesday class tomorrow January 5th…sorry!

So sorry to have to do this but as I type on Friday evening we have 2 vehicles stuck on the brow of the hill just outside our gates and another trying to skid its way to the top of the other hill. We had a “white out” for just 20 minutes but that is enough to put too much risk on attempting to train tomorrow.

It just remains for me and Martin, and I’m sure all the other teachers, to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and of course we hope to see you all back in the New Year, commencing on the 5th for Weds people and the 8th for Saturday people. Eat , drink, and be merry!

At the moment it is only Thursday evening and it is snowing. The forecast is not good, but I would hate to cancel if they have it wrong. I am posting now because my  computer has to go into hospital urgently and I don’t know if I will have it back in time to post another warning. So can I please leave it with you all to either look on here for a stop/go or if nothing appears please ring if in doubt. Four lovely “Roytans” gained KC Good Citizen awards at Good Companion Dog Training Group East Sussex on Monday night. Topping the list with GOLD were Sonny (Roytan Khaki) and Flint (Roytan Kracker). Next was Lizzie (Roytan Ms Elizabeth Bennet) with her SILVER and last but certainly not least was Esme (Roytan Ariadne) with her Bronze!

Saturday December 18th is the last training session for AGG members before we break for Christmas. Hopefully the weather will not interfere again! and we will have hot soup and mince pies too! We meet in the New Year for the first time on January 8th

Due to severe weather conditions, training on Saturday December 4th 2010 is cancelled.

Good news is that Lizzie (Roytan Ms Elizabeth Bennet) has her KC/BVA hip score in and it is 5/4.

On Saturday October 2nd, Anthony Surrage and his puppy Roytan Esmeralda (Bronte) passed their KC Puppy Assessment. Well done!

On Sunday October 3rd I took both Beshlie and Halley up to Brackley, Northants, to the above, being the 25th Anniversary Show. Halley (Roytan Hale-Bopp) came 3rd in Junior and Beshlie (Roytan Liberty) came VHC in Limit! A very worthwhile journey competing in very good company!

The icing on the cake was seeing Niska (Roytan Slipstream for Kincsem) coming out at the age of 9 and winning Veteran Bitch and Field trial Bitch! only to go against all the other class winners to take the Bitch CC!!!!! Wow..is that a Vizsla or is that a Vizsla?!

On Sunday Sept 19th the winner of the veteran test above was Debbie Thompson with her lovely Brooke (Roytan Saki) daughter of Bailey. Huge congratulations…carry on the good work!
