2012 Fenner had her last babies on Christmas Day! 2 girls and 3 boys. Dad is Thurbajens  Call A Copper

2014 November 3rd ……Fenner was “just” Fenner.

She was the constant of my doggy family. Today she had to leave us and I suddenly realise and understand the meaning and the enormity of that little word “just”.

2004 Taya whelped her first litter of 8 pups and was enjoying her first working test 14 weeks later. No award but a sparkling performance. Then a full season picking up, a brilliant little dog.

2005 A repeat litter was whelped on May 9th. All the pups have gone to wonderful homes but I didn’t keep one this time!

Her first working test post whelping was pretty bad! So back to the drawing board!

2005/6 Who cares about working tests!!!! Taya is THE best picking up dog you could wish for and also came to Scotland with me picking up there too.

2014  Friday March 21st

It is oh so quiet, too, too quiet. Rula had to make the journey to the other side last night. The saying “what a difference a day makes” could not be exemplified more than Friday March 21st. The day started quite normally with Rula claiming centre stage and being her usual noisy, ebullient and exaggerated self. But, unbeknown to us, this most loving and mixed up of all Vizslas, was carrying a very unwelcome passenger. For how long, I don’t know, but suffice to say she was a happy “healthy” dog until yesterday afternoon. She lived her life in the fast lane and thought that she was still only five or six years old, so jumping the stable door from the kitchen, to go outside, was normality. But yesterday, it put too much strain on the awful tumour which had grown inside her and the action started a terminal bleed.
Her life was put in my hands, with the choice of an operation which maybe would give her three to four months of undefinable and variable quality of life, or letting her go.
I know my girl so well, I knew she would have fought to stay but I also know she would not have accepted being an invalid in her hyped up fast track world. She could not have had her active brain in anything less than an active body.
Please forgive me Rula, I love you so much and I did what I thought right, I miss you dreadfully, you were an everywhere dog, always with me wherever I looked, wherever I went. Everywhere is unbearably empty.

2008 April 30th and Darcy whelps her third litter to “Hubble”. 7 lovely pups again but sadly we lose a boy.

2009 August 1st, Darcy has her last litter of 4 girls and 2 boys to Pawcrest Amie’able Star at Wylanbriar

Darcy, you have left a part of me completely broken, but my heart still in tact. The love I feel for you was put to the test this afternoon when I had to tell you it was time to go, whilst you were still able to be your own Darcy. The terrible hurt is that you trusted me implicitly. I told you everything would be alright and you lay quietly in my lap. That trust…….. Darcy, my “Pride of Place” , I believe I saved you from unimaginable deterioration, and now you will never ever,ever, suffer from fear nor pain. So hard, so very, very hard.
